Terms of Service
These Terms govern your use of Klassez (the “Platform”), operated from the State of Kuwait. By creating an account, listing as a tutor, or booking a session, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. Definitions
Klassez, we, us, or our refers to the company operating this Platform from Kuwait City, State of Kuwait.
Platform means the Klassez website, applications, and any related services we provide.
Student means a user who books and attends tutoring sessions. Tutor means a user who lists their teaching services and conducts sessions. User means anyone with a Klassez account.
Session means a one-on-one online tutoring appointment booked through the Platform.
2. User accounts
You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. If you are under 18, a parent or legal guardian must accept these Terms on your behalf and remains responsible for your activity.
You agree to provide accurate information when registering and to keep your account details up to date. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your password and for all activity under your account. Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorised access.
One person may hold one student account and one tutor account. Creating duplicate accounts to manipulate reviews, ratings, or promotional credit is grounds for suspension.
3. Tutor requirements
To list as a tutor on Klassez, you must complete our verification process. This includes submitting a valid Kuwait Civil ID, providing proof of qualifications relevant to the subjects you wish to teach, and completing a teaching demo with our academic team.
You warrant that all credentials, qualifications, and biographical information on your profile are accurate. Misrepresentation is grounds for immediate removal and forfeiture of any unpaid balance.
Tutors are independent contractors. You are responsible for your own tax, social-security, and licensing obligations under applicable Kuwaiti law. Klassez does not employ tutors and is not liable for tutor conduct outside the Platform.
4. Student responsibilities
Students agree to attend booked sessions on time, communicate respectfully with tutors, and provide honest feedback after each session.
Repeated no-shows, abusive behaviour, or attempts to circumvent the Platform (e.g., paying tutors directly off-platform) may result in account suspension and forfeiture of any platform credit.
Reviews must reflect the student's genuine experience. We remove reviews that contain false information, personal attacks, or content unrelated to the session.
5. Booking & cancellation
When you book a session, payment is taken at the time of booking and held until the session is completed. If you need to cancel or reschedule, our cancellation policy explains exactly what refund applies.
Tutors may cancel a session in exceptional circumstances. When a tutor cancels, you receive a full refund plus a booking credit you can apply to your next session.
We may cancel sessions where there is suspected fraud, a violation of these Terms, or a technical issue preventing the session from going ahead. In those cases, we issue a full refund.
6. Payments & fees
All booking fees are quoted and charged in Kuwaiti Dinar (KWD). Payments are processed by our payment partner Tap Payments. We do not store full card details on our servers.
A platform fee of 10% is added to each booking and shown clearly in your checkout summary. The fee covers payment processing, support, the booking technology, and student acquisition.
Tutor earnings are credited to a Klassez balance after each completed session. Tutors may withdraw their balance to a local bank account; standard payouts arrive within 2-3 business days. We may withhold funds where there is a dispute, suspected fraud, or pending investigation.
7. Prohibited conduct
You agree not to use the Platform to:
- harass, threaten, defraud, or otherwise harm another user;
- share contact details to take bookings off-platform and avoid fees;
- upload false credentials, fake reviews, or misleading profile content;
- share content that is illegal under Kuwaiti law or violates the rights of others;
- attempt to access, scrape, or interfere with our systems or the data of other users.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach this section and will cooperate with law enforcement where required.
8. Dispute resolution
If something goes wrong during a session, contact our support team within 48 hours. We review evidence from both parties — including session logs and Zoom attendance records — and issue a fair resolution, typically within 5 business days.
For tutor-student disputes that cannot be resolved through our support process, the parties agree to attempt good-faith negotiation before pursuing any other remedy.
9. Limitation of liability
The Platform is provided on an “as is” basis. Klassez does not warrant any specific educational outcome, grade improvement, or test result.
To the maximum extent permitted by Kuwaiti law, our aggregate liability for any claim arising out of or in connection with these Terms is limited to the total amount you paid us in the 90 days preceding the event giving rise to the claim.
Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be lawfully limited under the laws of the State of Kuwait.
10. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Kuwait, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of the Platform is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of Kuwait City.
