Booking, sessions, and getting the most out of your tutor.

How do I find a tutor?
Go to the Tutors page and filter by subject, level, and budget. Read profiles, watch intro videos, and check student reviews before booking.
Are sessions live?
Yes, all Klassez sessions are live one-on-one online classes via Zoom. There are no recorded courses or self-study modules.
What if I'm running late?
Message your tutor through the Platform as soon as you can. If you join within 15 minutes of the scheduled start, the tutor is expected to teach the remaining time. After 15 minutes, the session may be marked as a no-show.
How do I reschedule?
Go to your Sessions page, find the booking, and tap Reschedule. You'll see the tutor's other available slots. Rescheduling is free if you do it before the cancellation window closes.
Can I message a tutor before booking?
Yes. From a tutor's profile, click Send a message. Tutors usually reply within a few hours and you can ask anything about their teaching style, experience, or availability.
What payment methods do you accept?
KNET, Visa, and Mastercard. All payments are processed in Kuwaiti Dinar through Tap Payments. We don't store full card details on our servers.
How long do refunds take?
Klassez issues refunds immediately after a qualifying cancellation. Your bank or card network usually takes 5-7 business days to make the funds available.
How do reviews work?
After every completed session, you're invited to leave a star rating and a short review. Reviews are public on the tutor's profile and help other students choose. We remove reviews that contain personal attacks or false claims.
Can I switch tutors?
Of course. There's no commitment to keep using the same tutor. Many students try two or three before settling on a regular.
Is my parent's account separate from mine?
Yes. Each user has their own account. Parents managing bookings for younger children can keep the account in the parent's name and add the child's details to the booking notes.

For Tutors

Applying, getting verified, scheduling, and getting paid.

How do I get approved?
Submit your application with your Civil ID and qualifications. Our academic team reviews your profile and runs a short teaching demo, usually within 1-2 business days. We'll email you when you're approved.
When do I get paid?
Earnings are credited to your Klassez balance immediately after each completed session. You can withdraw to a local bank account anytime, with payouts arriving in 2-3 business days.
Can I set my own hourly rate?
Yes. You set the rate when creating your profile and can change it at any time from your settings. Most new tutors start in the 6-10 KD/hr range and increase as they build reviews.
Do I need to report taxes?
Tutors are independent contractors and are responsible for their own tax obligations under Kuwaiti law. Klassez provides downloadable earnings statements to help with record-keeping.
What if a student cancels?
If a student cancels within the cancellation window (last-minute), you receive 50% of the session fee as compensation. If a student no-shows, you keep the full fee.
Can I block specific times?
Yes. From your availability calendar, you can block individual slots, full days, or recurring weekly patterns. Blocked time is invisible to students.
How do I handle a student no-show?
Wait at least 15 minutes after the scheduled start in the Zoom room. If the student hasn't joined, mark the session as a no-show from your dashboard. You retain the full fee.
What's the platform fee?
Klassez takes a percentage of each booking to cover payment processing, support, the booking platform, and student acquisition. The exact percentage is shown in your earnings page and on the Teach page.
Can I tutor multiple subjects?
Yes, as long as you're qualified for each. Add additional subjects from your profile and our team will verify them before they go live.
How do I get more bookings?
Complete your profile thoroughly, add a clear intro video, respond quickly to messages, and deliver consistently great sessions. Strong reviews are the single biggest driver of new bookings.

Payments

Currencies, methods, fees, refunds, and receipts.

Which currencies do you accept?
All payments are processed in Kuwaiti Dinar (KWD). Card networks may convert from your local currency at their published rate.
Do you accept KNET?
Yes, KNET is fully supported alongside Visa and Mastercard.
How long do refunds take?
Refunds are issued immediately. Your bank or card network typically takes 5-7 business days to make the refunded amount available.
Can I get a receipt?
Yes. Every booking generates a receipt that's emailed to you and available from your Sessions page. Receipts include the tutor name, date, duration, and full price breakdown.
Do you offer student or sibling discounts?
Booking longer sessions or buying multi-session packages unlocks automatic discounts at checkout. Special promo codes may also be available — keep an eye on your email and our social channels.
How do promo codes work?
Enter the code at checkout. Eligible promos discount your total, with the discount displayed in the price breakdown before you confirm.
What if my payment fails?
First, check your card details and balance, then try again. If the failure persists, contact your bank — sometimes online card payments need to be enabled. You can also try a different card or KNET.
How is the platform fee calculated?
The platform fee is a fixed percentage of the session subtotal (after any discounts and promos). It's shown clearly in your checkout breakdown before you confirm the booking.

Technical

Browsers, video setup, account access, and email troubleshooting.

Which browsers are supported?
The latest versions of Chrome, Safari, Firefox, and Edge on desktop, plus Chrome and Safari on mobile. We don't support Internet Explorer.
Do I need Zoom installed?
You can join from your browser, but the desktop or mobile Zoom app gives a more reliable experience. We send a Zoom link in the booking confirmation.
Is there a mobile app?
Klassez works as a fast mobile web app on iOS and Android — add it to your home screen for one-tap access. A dedicated app is on our roadmap.
Audio or video isn't working — what do I do?
Check that your browser has camera and microphone permissions for Zoom. Refreshing the page and rejoining usually fixes most issues. Try the Zoom desktop app if browser audio keeps cutting out.
My account is locked. How do I unlock it?
Accounts are locked automatically after several failed sign-in attempts to protect you. Wait 15 minutes and try again, or use the Forgot password link to reset and unlock.
How do I reset my password?
Go to the sign-in page and tap Forgot password. We email a reset link that's valid for 30 minutes.
I'm not getting Klassez emails.
Check your spam folder and add no-reply@klassez.com to your safe senders. If emails still don't arrive, contact support so we can investigate delivery.
